Trip Times Two

I have a passion for quilting. [in case you haven't noticed :)]  I love everything about the art. The colors, the textures, the patterns, the designs. They all inspire me to create.

Power of Friendship

It is impossible to pin point the exact moment when a friendship crosses over from an acquaintance to a friend and from a friend to something more.  I am speaking of those truly special friendships that are more like family. Rise Above Limitations

Limitations come in many forms.  Some we are born with and some we acquire along the way.  Some are imposed by others, some by misconceptions, and some we impose on ourselves.

Change of Perspective

I had planned a different post for today, which will have to wait for now; today was just one of those days.  Well, it could have been “one of those days” which brings me to my point.  Sometimes a conscious change in perspective can turn a negative into something better.

Today began as usual, but as I was leaving my apartment, I noticed it was considerably warmer and my heavy winter coat just wouldn’t be necessary.  The decision to change coats also changed my day.  You see the two minutes it took to switch coats caused me to miss my shuttle to the train.  So I had to catch the next one.

The Power of Change

It never ceases to amaze me how many of us claim to support change yet when we are asked to make a change, we reject it.  What we like is the idea of change.  What we don’t like is the reality of change when it impacts us personally.   We resist change rather than embrace it.

Why do we resist change so much?  I think one reason is that it is simply easier to stay the way we are and hope things around us will change without any effort on our part.  We hope others will do it for us.
